And the VIP Winners Are ………..
The 2019/20 Plym Chamber VIP Scheme has now reached its conclusion and we are very proud to announce that the following seven members of Plym Chamber have been awarded the coveted Plym Chamber VIP status:
Stella Goodman – Excaliber Associates
Michele Marsland – Marsland Accountants
Nicola Marshall – Tropic Skincare
Matt Bryant – Kitsons Solicitors
Ian Goodman – Excel Carpets
Colin Worden – Utility Warehouse
Mark Hinchliffe – IRS
The scheme commenced 1st May 2019 and was scheduled to run until 30 April 2020 but due to the Coronavirus pandemic the decision was taken to extend the scheme by a further 3 months until 31 July 2020. We must pay tribute to all those who went above and beyond, for all their effort, hard work and commitment over the past 15 months to contribute towards the smooth running of Plym Chamber, all whilst juggling the demands of their own businesses and families in what has undoubtedly been one of the most difficult periods for businesses and families in living memory. We also thank the marketing sub committee for instigating and administering the scheme throughout.
Special mention must go to Stella Goodman of Excaliber Associates who topped the VIP Scheme league table by a considerable margin for her initiative and drive in continuing to provide networking opportunities for Plym Chamber members. Perhaps unsurprisingly it was Stella, with the support of members of the general committee, who instigated and led the new look Virtual Breakfast meetings which now take place fortnightly on the second and fourth Tuesday each month and are now a firm fixture in the calendar. Michele Marsland of Marslands Accountants came a clear second place and she too must be commended for her energy and commitment to the Chamber, especially with her golfing initiatives … she even “took one for the team” suffering a serious injury in the line of duty!
“Of the seven VIP members three, namely Nicola Marshall, Ian Goodman and Colin Worden, are non committee members and special thanks and congratulations go to them for all of their contribution to the Chamber. Both Colin and Nicola have featured as guest speakers at the Virtual Breakfasts and Ian has been an ever present at meetings and events throughout the scheme duration.
The reward for the VIPs is a “VIP experience” the details of which are yet to be decided. Given the ongoing Covid 19 related restrictions and our wish to abide by the Government social distancing guidelines we have decided to hold off until some form of stability is achieved and the risk of further lockdowns has, all being well, significantly decreased. All of the VIPs will be contacted with details of the proposed VIP event in due course.
Well done to all of the VIPs and to everyone who signed up and took part in the scheme.
