On a warm Summer’s day, Plym Chamber hosted another busy breakfast at Boringdon Park Golf Club. This month we changed things around, adding a new dimension to the breakfast.
As each member and guest arrived, they were given a card and asked to find their matching pair. They then needed to find out enough about the other person’s business to be able to do their 30 second presentation. This lead to some very interesting and funny presentations.
Carly Jeffery from Kitsons Solicitors LLP did a presentation on her area of expertise within Kitsons; private client work. Although this covers a large area, Carly concentrated our minds on the importance of having a will so that family members only receive what you want them to receive. Making a will is particularly important if you are running a business as who knows where your business will go when you die? Over 70% of people don’t make a will and there are a lot of misconceptions about what happens when you die with the intestacy rules.
