In light of the recent communication from the World Health Organisation declaring COVID-19 as a pandemic, and in light of the latest government advice I wanted take this opportunity, on behalf of all of the Plym Chamber committee, to advise you on the measures taken by the Chamber which we believe are in the best interests of all Chamber members in these uncertain times.
The committee is closely monitoring the daily changing Government guidelines and we are following their instructions accordingly and in particular the recent advice to “stop non-essential contact with others and to stop all unnecessary travel”.
We have therefore taken the difficult decision to cancel the AGM and Talking Tables Event which was scheduled to take place at the Elfordleigh Hotel on Thursday 19th March. Instead we shall conduct the meeting via electronic means and we will soon be contacting all members with reports and minutes for approval.
All Plym Chamber events and meetings will also be cancelled for the time being, and we will continue to update you as the situation develops.
We are committed to adapting to the impact that any further developments with COVID-19 will have on our day-to-day operations and we shall endeavour to keep you as updated as we can. Please look out for email and website and social media updates.
